Massage Types

Medical Massage- this term is used when treating medical conditions such as migraine and headache, high blood pressure, fibromyalgia, lupus , rheumatoid arthritis, MS, myasthenia gravis, shortness of breath, asthma, panic disorder, safe touch reintegration, diabetic,post operative, and idiopathic neuropathy, low back pain, sacra iliac dysfunction, sciatica syndrome, carpal tunnel, neck trauma due to car wreck, sleep disorder and chronic and cute pain just to name a few.
Thai yoga body work session- this is one of my favorite forms of Bodywork to perform. It is a powerfully transformative work that includes a lot of yoga style stretching with acupressure therapy. I also blend up some Swedish style lymphatic flushing to smooth the work out. This Bodywork is invigorating and energizing. It is. To for the faint of heart. Nor is it for sick clients as it is very stimulating to the detoxing organs of the body and may cause a sick client to feel ill effects. I incorporate a lot of Thai Yoga work into my table massage for my healthy, athletic clients. I do own a Thai Yoga mat and can arrange for a Thai Yoga mat session by request.

Prenatal Massage

Prenatal Massage- prenatal massage is wonderfully helpful for pregnant moms . You need to wait until after the first trimester to receive massage if you had not already been receiving regular massages before the pregnancy. During the last trimester many moms find it helpful to receive massage every week. It is important your massage therapist lays you in side table as the blood flow to the baby can become strangulated during the massage. There are also pressure points that should be avoided during pregnancy as well. For many years I have had pregnant moms beg me to put them in labor by pressing on the points when they were at 40weeks. It has been my experience that babies come when they get good and well ready and not because of trying to induce labor with massage. My pregnant moms report having much less back pain, foot pain, and improved sleep.

Swedish Massage- Swedish massage a gentle, relaxing massage with long flowing strokes that focuses on improving circulation, reducing lymphatic congestion, and exchange of interstitial fluids like blood, water and lymph. This massage is perfect for clients during their chemotherapy treatments, post surgical recovery when released by your doctor for massage, exhaustion, stress, and sleeplessness.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep Tissue Massage- therapy is similar to Swedish massage. However, its deeper pressure is better when it comes to the process of chronic muscle tension. This technique focuses on the deepest layers of your muscle tissue, tendons and fascia- the protective layer surrounding muscles, bones and joints.

Headache Therapy

Headache Therapy- Come to Salon Fusion Spa for a head and neck massage to release any tension that causes migraine headaches and muscle spasms. Migraines occur when blood vessels around the temples and base of the skull constrict. Headache therapy helps to alleviate this kind of tension. Private rooms are available for our headaches therapy.
